Qingdao Municipal Office of State Administration of Taxation was separated from Qingdao Tax Bureau and established in August of 1994, which is the administration organization in charge of State revenue work. Currently, the Office is composed of 14 offices (including Shinan, Shibei, Sifang, Chengyang, Laoshan, Licang, Economic and Technological Development zone, Bonded zone, State New and High-tech industry development zone, Jimo, Jiaozhou, Jiaonan, Pingdu and Laixi)at the city level and there are 2600 tax staffs. In the recent years, under the leadership of higher level authorities, Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Qingdao Municipal Government, Qingdao Municipal Office of State Administration of Taxation comprehensively act in the spirit of the Seventeenth National Congress of Communist Party, hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, follow the guidance Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of Three Represents , thoroughly apply the scientific outlook on development, tightly grasp the theme of "Serving for Scientific Development, Creating a Harmonious Tax System", fully push forward managing tax in accordance with the law , energetically strengthen tax administration, continuously optimize tax service. All these efforts have accelerated the continuous increase of tax revenue and contributed positively to the sustainable and harmonious development of Qingdao economic society.
